Dan and Mary have one of those great stories where the girl started off not liking the guy but then ended up falling in love anyways after the guy kept being persistent. I love those kind of love stories because . . . who doesn't like a plot twist, right? Also, Nathan and I have somewhat of a similar love story, so I think I have a soft spot for that type of story. (:
These two love birds met me and Nathan (my handsome helper) for their engagement session at a new sunflower field that I discovered this year at Creekside Farm in East Berlin. We were able to explore the fields and also cut several sunflowers to use as props during the session.
Throughout our time together, we were all smiles and laughter, thanks to Dan's silly humor! (You'll want to scroll all the way down to see the blooper shots I included at the end.) I loved capturing the fun moments as well as the sweet moments. You can definitely tell that these two love each other. It was sweet to see Dan care for Mary throughout the session. Not too long into our session, we saw storm clouds approaching, and Dan wanted to make sure that Mary got to shelter before the rain messed up her curls. Sometimes, it's those little things that show just how much someone cares about the one they love! Before long, the sun came back out, and we captured so many golden moments that you'll see below.
It was such a pleasure to take Dan and Mary's engagement pictures. I can't wait to capture their wedding day next August, and I can't wait for them to get to start their married life together!
{ P.S. Naturally, clients who may not be used to being in front of the camera can feel nervous about photo sessions, but I expect that. I also expect that 100% of the time my clients end up being surprised about how much fun they had by the end of the session, and I LOVE it! A few days after our session, I saw Dan and Mary at church, and Dan exclaimed, "When can we take engagement pictures again?" }
